An outline of the landmarks of San Marino on the issue of the Philatelic and Numismatic Division of the San Marino Post Office dedicated to this event to be hosted by the Republic of San Marino in April
A postal issue dedicated to the World Congress of Bioethics, which every two years brings together representatives of National Ethics Committees from all over the world, is scheduled for the 19th of March. The Summit will be held in San Marino from April 17 to 19, 2024, with the collaboration of the WHO and the San Marino Bioethics Committee, and is intended to foster international debate on the main issues in bioethics. No small country has ever had the honour of hosting this world summit: the Republic of San Marino will be the first to host a conference of this nature on its territory. The Summit will aim to take stock of the critical issues that have emerged during the long period of crisis the world has experienced, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the current war in Ukraine, and will be entitled “Crisis, Evolution and Growth”.
On the €1.30 stamp there is an outline of the principal landmarks of San Marino together with the title of the Summit in a simple and effective contrast of colours. In the band the description of the event in Italian and English, in line with the international nature of the event.
