The Associazione Sportiva Roma was established on 7 June 1927 by a merger of three clubs in Rome. Alba-Audace, Foot Ball Club di Roma and Fortitudo-Pro Roma. Founded with the mission of defending the name, colours and symbol of the Eternal City, AS Roma has preserved over time the identifying characteristics of the vision of the founding fathers and since its establishment it has embodied genuine sports in the city of Rome. The reverse of the coin features the official emblem of AS Roma.
