Poste San Marino celebrates the legendary Porsche 356 as well as the 50th International Meeting with a special philatelic issue, available for collectors and aficionados.
The arrival of the historic cars in San Marino took place on Friday, 23 May 2025, when about 260 examples of the famous Porsche 356, the first model produced by the German manufacturer between 1948 and 1956, crossed the borders of the Republic to parade through the very heart of the Historic Centre, a UNESCO heritage site. A unique event, combining elegance and passion for cars, in a setting steeped in history.
The event, promoted by the Federation of Worldwide Porsche Clubs and Porsche AG, will gather more than 400 devotees from all over the world, confirming the timeless appeal of a true motoring icon, a symbol of high-level engineering, elegance and passion, which have made it one of the great legends in automotive history.
The creation of a postal issue in honour of this stage aims to celebrate the event by underscoring the Republic of San Marino's focus on the history of motoring and the tradition of international rallies.
The commemorative stamp, produced in a limited edition of 20,000 sheets, depicts a detail of the rear wheel of a white Porsche 356 Carrera. The design was created by the artist Luca Terraneo.
