8th Edition of the Beijing-Paris motor race

The contemporary edition of the prestigious Beijing-Paris motor race will stop for the first time in the Republic of San Marino on 20 June. The Beijing to Paris race has been one of the world's most exciting and storied motoring competitions. The first edition of this epic race dates back to 1907, and its history is studded with extraordinary feats, breathtaking landscapes and unimaginable challenges. For eight editions, the new Beijing to Paris race has been run, which combines adventure, endurance and pioneering spirit and is an important tourist attraction. To celebrate the passage in San Marino of the Beijing-Paris race as well as the competition, the Philatelic and Numismatic Division of the San Marino Post Office has dedicated a sheetlet with an illustration of the stages of the 8th edition of the race and a vintage car.
