Bicentenary of the death of Antonio Onofri

A central figure in early 19th-century San Marino and unanimously considered the “Father of the Nation”, Antonio Onofri was a skilled and astute diplomat, capable of winning even Napoleon’s support. All his ventures were aimed at safeguarding the independence of the Republic of San Marino during turbulent times, preserving its political and economic autonomy, as well as its territorial integrity.
