The stamp shows a view of the City of Valletta, one of the UNESCO sites on the island of Malta. The capital of Malta, which was inscribed in 1980, is linked to the history of the Military and Charitable Order of St. John of Jerusalem and is one of the most densely populated historical areas in the world. 2025 will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malta and San Marino. Completing the value is ‘1.35’, ‘San Marino’, the Coat of Arms of the Republic, the legend ‘UNESCO Sites: Malta - 131 City of Valletta’, the name of the designer, and the year 2025. The band to the left of the mini-sheet shows a short text on the Unesco site at the top and an illustration of the Public Palace and a map of Malta with the location of the site at the bottom.
