Matteotti and Turati - Masters of Freedom

"Masters of Liberty". The path traced by the San Marino Philatelic and Numismatic Company takes shape in this issue thanks to a work by San Marino artist Giovanni Giulianelli. Filippo Turati on the one hand, and Giacomo Matteotti on the other make up the essential elements of this author's sheet, embellished by a short text by Professor Renato di Nubila, Professor of Educational Methodology, of the Faculty of Education Sciences, at the University of Padua. The figures of the two ‘masters’ find in the leaflet a trade union that Giulianelli wanted to make explicit through the stylised reproduction of a glimpse of "Il Quarto Stato" by Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo. Turati and Matteotti, protagonists of the 20th century, are still able to offer an example of rectitude and morality for the entire political world of our time. This philatelic initiative is intended to honour and merit their ‘action’ and the obstinacy that distinguished the days they both lived in the polis.
