Created by the artist Simone Legno, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of tokidoki, Libertas embodies the Republic’s key symbols: the Three Towers, which are also depicted in her eyes; the white and blue feathers of the coat of arms; her green hair, evoking nature and Mount Titano; and the fan, a tribute to Japan, the host country of EXPO Osaka 2025.
