San Marino RTV on satellite

A satellite with the inscription “SM TV” observing the world in its entirety. This is the symbolic image chosen for the stamp dedicated to the television network of the Republic of San Marino, RTV. Having landed “in space” on June 13, 2011, TV captained by Carmen Lasorella also finds its place of honor in philately. It has been an exciting and new adventure for the Viale Kennedy facility, established in August 1991 and on the air since 1993. Today, present on three platforms, two on Sky and one on TV Sat, the Titan's broadcaster is aiming at an international audience of viewers, as an ideal stage to promote and publicize the welcoming vocation, natural beauty and values that characterize the Republic. It has been called “Glocal” the informational offer of San Marino State TV. Local news and news from neighboring Italian regions has been flanked by an extensive daily review of events affecting the entire planet. Social, ethical and scientific issues are paired with programs dedicated to innovation, which find precisely in the Flagship Network, the vocational dimension par excellence. SM tv San Marino is, in fact, working hard to become an experimental laboratory of high-tech multimedia formats and interactive forms of communication. Meanwhile, the Azienda Autonoma di Stato Filatelica e Numismatica, has decided to celebrate its first year on the satellite with an ad hoc postage stamp. As if to say that tradition and innovation to give their best always need to contaminate each other.
