10 Euro coin "Polizia Civile"

A tribute to the protagonists who every day guarantee the security and order of the Republic, Poste San Marino celebrates the ‘San Marino Military and Police Corps’ with the new edition of the numismatic series launched in 2024. After the success of the coin dedicated to the Guardia di Rocca, a 10 euro silver coin (proof version) dedicated to the Civil Police Corps.
Designed by Antonella Napolione and minted in only 2,500 pieces, it stands out for the use of chromatic applications that enrich and enhance the uniform depicted on the reverse, giving the coin a strong and recognisable visual identity.
The current Civil Police Corps, an evolution of the Traffic Police Corps established in 1958, performs functions in the area of civil and commercial discipline, with particular attention to road traffic and economic activities. It is also assigned competences in tax, health, environmental, civil protection, public safety and judicial police matters.
The obverse depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino while the reverse depicts a Civil Police officer in full uniform, with colours applied to the uniform. Light blue for the jacket and headgear, blue for the trousers, cuffs, collar and headgear and black for the visor of the hat. The coin is completed on the left by the inscription POLIZIA CIVILE, the value 10 EURO, and at the bottom by the initials of Antonio Vecchio, who did the engraving, AV.INC.; on the right by the letter R, identifying the Rome Mint, the lion of the Corps emblem, the name of the author A. NAPOLIONE and the year of issue 2025.
