Michelangelo Buonarroti was the most complete and true genius of the Renaissance. 450 years after his death, the Tuscan artist still arouses amazement and emotion. The Ufficio Filatelico e Numismatico of San Marino honours this event with a stamp which depicts the bas-relief “Madonna col Bambino e S. Giovannino - Tondo Pitti” (85x82cm), kept by the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence.
