The series celebrates the centenary of the National Alpini Association, founded in 1919 in Milan and composed
by members of the mountain infantry corps. The first value shows an Alpino climbing a rock face; the second
stamp depicts an Alpino on the top of a snowy peak, while on the third value two Alpini pay homage to the
memory of those who fell at the Mozza Column on Mount Ortigara.
